Guardian Angels

What are Guardian Angels?
While Pleasant Place provides the basic need of shelter in a nurturing environment, among the more pressuring concerns is the desire for each resident to feel special and loved. The Guardian Angels program allows you or your organization to help in making a difference in the lives of our residents.

There are three types of Guardian Angels:

  • Volunteer Angels - give the gift of time
  • House Angels - give the gift of needed houshold items
  • Personal Angels - "adopt" a mother-child pair for one year
Volunteer Angels work with the young mothers to teach them the life skills they will need to transition to self-sufficiency when they turn age 18, from cooking to finances and more.

House Angels help to provide some of Pleasant Place's most high demand items, such as baby supplies, household supplies and personal hygiene products. Each gift is much needed and much appreciated.

Personal Angels "adopt" a mother-child pair for one year - or more if you desire. Each pair's Guardian Angel commits to providing a heartfelt gift for mother and child for five special occasions throughout the year.

We invite you to take part in this special gift and mentoring program. Your generous support will bring much needed joy, stability and hope into their lives.
